Not just 'Boom Boom Afridi'

-

It was not just Boom Boom Afridi, it was a BANG !!!

For me, the moment of the match was when Afridi blew a kiss to Jacques Kallis after smashing his three consecutive deliveries to the boundary. When you are this confident, chances are, you are feeling good and you will do well and he did v. v. well.

Looks like Boom Boom is not only capable of a bang, he can blow a kiss or two :), after all, it is all about spreading the love and good cheer.

If only he played like that more consistently, he'd be such an awesome player for us. Anyway, awesome performance by the team today even though it was far from perfect (fielding, dropped catches et al). The truth is that S.Africa didn't choke today, they were well and truly outplayed! Go Team Pak! Win the final ... for Woolmer ... for 160 million pakistanis back home, but most importantly, for Pakistan!

Razz is right. we didnt choke. we were simply outplayed.

Boom Boom was spectacular tonight. I did miss Muhammed Yusuf though and I did think the guy who missed the catch was acting like a bit of a ponce but well done to Pakistan

I agree... It was hilarious, Afridi blowing a kiss to Kallis. I watched only 15 overs of the Ist innings and Pakistan was a motivated side. It matters not what you are capable of, it matters what you can deliver.

Pakistan side is peaking at the right time, they look confident and they seem the best bet for the cup at the moment. Hope its SL vs Pak final !

yep that was the moment. I only wished there was a six in it too. Still that was enough.

My prayers are with Pakistan.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!!!!

Afridi was in my Cricinfo Fantasy XI(and so was Kallis!...won me a cartload of points :) it was marvellous to see him back being the Man of Steel for the Pakistani team....

That said, this Pakistani team has had a fair slice of luck in the first place... reaching the semis after just one victory over a test-playing nation, and that too an out of sorts Kiwi squad... but all tht is history now... they look favourites now.. with Afridi, Akmal and Gul(my God, those yorkers..) playing the way they are..

Best of luck to Pakistan in the final from an Indian cricket fan.

LOL @ Kiss Kiss Bang Bang... haha

Not a cricet fan since everyone I liked retired and I can't keep up with the head spinning speed with which they change the team...

I thought it was hate. He just wanted to piss kallis off, after kallis pissed afridi off, before, with his bouncers (watch afridi's mouth, he swore).

Always been an Afridi fan - through thick and thin. Come on, the man can't change who he is. But every now and then, he makes up for all those buggers, doesn't he! And I love that he is so humble.
